September 28th, 2011 Never Stop Fighting For Justice And We Will Win
Troy Davis last words were of his innocence and wanting his family and anyone who cares for justice to continue to prove his innocence. In the last line of his letter he stated, “Never stop fighting for justice and we will win”.
That is what all citizens of The United States and Human Beings of the world must do continue to fight for justice. Like in the case of Malachi K. York. A innocents man who was convicted of child molestation and racketeering and sentenced on April 22, 2004 to 135 years in jail. Prove of his innocence are the following: 8 of 13 witnesses testified that nothing ever happened, there was no DNA evidence, key government witness recants her original testimony, there was a hung jury, the government seals the trial transcripts.
How many more innocent people are to be executed and imprisoned before we say enough is enough. We have an obligation to ourselves, our country, and the world to make sure our Judicial System remain just in every case. Like human beings our system can make errors, but it up to us to make sure those mistakes are rectified because lives are at stake.
Martin Luther King Jr. once stated, “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” How long will we good citizen continue to be silent?
Is it not our duty to speak up against injustice within our judicial system? Like human being the system is not infallible. However, we can hold them accountable to correct there mistakes because lives are at stake. Let put justice back on the right path.
